If you can furnish us with a sample of your material, we can furnish you with a gauge to check almost any non-metallic material. We also offer Special Durometer Types that conform to a specified standard (ASTM, ISO, DIN, JIS, or ASKER Types). All of our custom durometers offer the same extreme accuracy and precision construction as our standard product line, and are usually available in both analog and digital models. Type CF Durometer (ASTM F 1957)

The Type CF Durometer is used for checking the hardness of composite foam materials.

Typical Use:
The Type CF Durometer is commonly used to check the hardness of restraint devices (lapbar, cushions) found on amusement park rides, as well as automotive door panels, armrests, seating, dashboards, and headrests. This gauge can also be used to check tautness in swimming pool covers and wound plastic materials (plastic bags).

Asker Type Durometers

Typical Use:
The Asker C Type durometer is commonly used in checking the hardness of rubber material found in gym shoe soles. The Asker F Type durometer is primarily used to check the hardness of polystyrene foam.

Removable Foot and Lower Barrel Durometers

The removable foot and lower barrel durometers are used when testing material that is uncured, or for applications that require a cleansing process.

Typical Use:
The removable sections of the durometer allow the user to clean off debris that may stick to the gauge during testing. These gauges are commonly used for checking the hardness of clay, uncured epoxies and sealants, printing rollers, or any application that may require a cleansing process after testing.
